High blood pressure is a health issue that causes innumerable fatalities in the United States each year. Further, if it doesn?t kill you, it can still lead to major problems, including heart attack and stroke. And sodium is an ingredient of a high blood pressure diet as it is one of the major high blood pressure causes. Consequently, this article will help you learn about the role of sodium in the development of high blood pressure.

Read the Ingredients

Unfortunately, given its prevalence, a good amount of the sodium you digest comes from processed foods. A good habit to develop, before buying such food, is to read the ingredients label. Unfortunately, those labels, with their multisyllabic words, seem like they aren?t written in English. You feel as if you need a chemistry degree to understand them. Well, to help, remember that foods that contain ingredients with the word ?sodium? in them can be bad news. For example, take disodium phosphate and monosodium glutamate (MSG). The word ?sodium? is visible. Miminize your use of such ingredients and foods.

Also, the US FDA , to aid people?s dietary choices, developed sodium guidelines. For example, ?low sodium? equates to 140 milligrams or less of sodium per serving. Or, as another example, 5 milligrams or less of sodium per serving is ?salt free? food. Google FDA sodium for the entire guide. If necessary, bring it with you to the grocery store to allow for quick and easy interpretation when you shop.

Further, highly processed foods often contain high levels of sodium, making them contributory to a high blood pressure diet. I can only imagine the thoughts going through your head now. You?re busy and have no time to cook. You rely on frozen dinners and canned goods to quickly whip something up for you and your family. Unfortunately, a good amount of these foods are laced with sodium.

The Infamous Salt Shaker ? One of the More Prominent High Blood Pressure Causes

Finally, like most people, you probably grab for the salt shaker at the center of your dining room table to add some quick flavor to your sometimes bland food. And, to compound the matter, you may be adding salt to processed food that already contains high levels of sodium. So resist the ?salt shaker? temptation. Perhaps you might even empty your salt shaker. Further, use natural herbs to add flavor to your food. Consider onions or thyme, for example. This may be hard to do, but it?s in your body?s best interest.

As you can see, sodium not only presents a high blood pressure health issue, but also is hard to avoid given our busy lives. If you look at your food labels, especially those of processed foods, you?ll start to see sodium everywhere. So remember to avoid ingredients with the word ?sodium? in them as sodium can play a huge role in a high blood pressure diet. Also, use the Food and Drug Administration guidelines to monitor your sodium use. And put down that salt shaker!

Take these small, proactive steps and you are on your way to eliminating some high blood pressure causes and earning better health.

Hypertension is defined as the excessive tension faced by the human beings. The latest survey conducted by the American Society for Hypertension Treatment has concluded that 25 million men in the United States are suffering from the hypertension. The research workers also claimed that 67-70% men having hypertension are suffering from sexual dysfunction. The inability in the men to get the erection or to sustain the erection for sufficient time during the love making session is called as sexual dysfunction. It was also observed that men suffering from sexual dysfunction usually have hypertension.

To know the relation between sexual dysfunction and hypertension a survey was conducted. In the first step of the survey the men suffering from the hypertension were put for the questionnaire regarding their sexual life. About 70% men suffering from the sexual dysfunction were having the problems with the erection. Nearly 30% men were not able to get the proper erection and 40% men were not able to hold the erection for the sufficient amount of time.

In the second step, men suffering from the sexual dysfunction were put for the questionnaire. It was surprising that hypertension was found to be the reason for the sexual dysfunction in 27% men. Thus, it was clear from the survey that sexual dysfunction and hypertension are interrelated with each other. It was also observed that sexual dysfunction was more prominent among the old men suffering from the hypertension

Hypertension is caused by many reasons like hectic life style, pressures to perform on your job, diabetics, blood pressure, etc. Because of the hypertension your brain feels tired and you don?t get the desire for the sex. Thus, you are not able to get the erection. Thiazide diuretic and beta-blocker therapy are the treatments that are suggested if you are suffering from hypertension. These treatments lead to the sexual dysfunction. Hypertension may lead to the atherosclerosis. The arteries may get hard or the plaque may get deposited in them during the atherosclerosis. Thus the less amount of blood is supplied to the male reproductive organ during the love making session and the men suffer with the sexual dysfunction.

Sexual dysfunction sometimes leads to the hypertension because men suffer from the tension when they are not able to perform in the bed. When this tension grows it finally leads to the hypertension. High blood pressure is caused due to the hypertension in some cases. High blood pressure also leads to sexual dysfunction. When a person suffers from hypertension and sexual dysfunction both the risk of cardiovascular disease is very high in that person. Thus, it is also said that the sexual dysfunction is alarming bell for the heart diseases. It is proved that because of the hypertension the flow of blood inside the body is affected. Thus, the blood flow to the penile region is also affected. As a result the sexual dysfunction is observed among the men with high blood pressure.

The drugs like Caverta are found to be effective in the treatment of sexual dysfunction in men suffering from hypertension. These drugs work as the phosphodiesterase inhibitors and thus treat the sexual dysfunction in the men having hypertension. But, please take the doctors advice regarding the dosage of these drugs.

Hypertension is a growing problem in the United States today. Everyday, more and more people are being diagnosed with it.

Although there are several types of hypertension, all can lead to heart disease, heart attacks and even death, if left untreated.

Hypertension can be caused by several different factors. Family history is the biggest factor in who will develop this. Certain ethnic backgrounds tend to have more hypertension than others.

Studies indicate that it is because of the types of foods that are consumed. Foods that are high in fat, especially saturated fats, can cause hypertension. Using a lot of salt has also been associated with high blood pressure.

Lack of exercise and obesity are also causes of hypertension. Millions of people worldwide are either overweight or obese.

Other causes include high caffeine intake, such as coffee and soda, lack of exercise, smoking, and high cholesterol levels.

People who are diagnosed with hypertension are more likely to suffer from heart disease, heart attacks, strokes and kidney related problems.

Where there is cause for concern, it is not necessary to panic or stress over the diagnosis. There are ways to treat hypertension and still lead a normal life.

There are many different types of medications called Anti-hypertensives on the market today that can treat hypertension by lowering blood pressure to an acceptable level. Your doctor will advise you on what level is right for you.

Maintaining a proper blood pressure is critical because it affects the critical parts of your body. Heart, kidneys, the adrenal glands and brain function are all affected by blood pressure.

Your doctor will also advise you that lifestyle changes need to be made. The most difficult thing the doctor will tell you to do is to quit smoking.

Weight loss is the next step. Fitness centers and gyms offer a personal trainer that will assist you with your weight loss needs and set up a program that is tailored to your specific needs. Fitness centers also offer nutritional counseling. A nutritionist can put together menu options that you can stick to.

It is important to add a lot of fruits and vegetables to your diet. These will assist in lowering your blood pressure. Reducing your salt intake will also assist in lowering your blood pressure.

Hypertension can affect every aspect of your life. If you do not treat it, it can lead to serious, sometimes fatal, results.

Although this disease is affecting more and more people every year, it is a completely treatable. In fact, it is one of the most treatable diseases today. It is crucial to your health to make the necessary changes to lower your blood pressure. This will insure a long and happy life.

Disclaimer: If you need more information about hypertension, talk to your doctor or a qualified professional.

Idiopathic pulmonary hypertension also called is Pulmonary hypertension Pulmonary hypertension is an abnormal altitude of the pressure in the pulmonary flow caused by the constriction of the blood vessels that supply blood to the lungs. Pulmonary hypertension can be a severe disease with a markedly decreased exercise tolerance and heart failure. Frequency in children as well as adults is not known. Conceivably, more patients have the disease than previously suspected. IPAH occurs at a female-to-male ratio ranging from 2-9:1, depending on the treatment center sampled.

The worldwide incidence of Idiopathic pulmonary hypertension approximates that observed in the United States. Pumonary hypertension may be caused by a genetic defect, confident diet medications, or medical conditions such as lung or heart valve disease or history of a blood clot in the lung. Various triggers, such as high altitude, hypoxemia, toxins, sympathetic tone, and autoimmune disorders, can cause pulmonary vasoconstriction in susceptible individuals. Symptoms may develop very gradually. Shortness of breath and dizziness are symptoms of pulmonary hypertension.

Treatment involves of Idiopathic pulmonary hypertension diuretics, blood thinners, calcium channel blockers, and using supplemental oxygen to increase blood oxygen levels. Medicines used to treat pulmonary hypertension include ambrisentan (Letairis), bosentan, calcium channel blockers, diuretics and prostacyclin

It seems like the later I stay up at night, the more educational the television shows become. Recently I found a show called “The Truth about Food’ on the Discovery Channel. I immediately kept flipping but later returned to the show after feeling a little guilty from a late night snack. It turned out, I learned more about natural health in the next 20 minutes then I did in the last week! Specifically, I learned how important food is to our health and high blood pressure! Duh!

Did you know that food can naturally treat high blood pressure (also called hypertension), shed those extra pounds and increase your sex drive?

So I ask you? Can you picture not having to worry about high blood pressure? Can you imagine being excited to go to bed early once again? Can you imagine the reward of a new wardrobe after shedding 20+ pounds?

Quit dreaming! Because doing all of these might be simpler than you think!

What I learned about Naturally Treating High Blood Pressure

I love creative shows! In fact, the Discovery show, ‘The Truth about Food’ was creative and educational! The premise of the show is hypertension participants spend about 2 weeks in a zoo and are challenged to eat like an ate. Literally, the high blood pressure sufferers could only eat the foods a chimp could eat. Their two week diet consisted of fresh fruits and vegetables. You can imagine how many bathroom visits there were with the high water-soluble produce. In fact, the constant ‘toilet time’ was remarkably humorous. I actually woke up my youngest boy.

But you would never imagine what happened after 2 weeks? All hypertension contestants reduced high blood pressure substantially, reduced cholesterol levels and lost weight (some 15+ pounds). And finally, you would never imagine the gained confidence and smiles on everyone’s thinner face!

By increasing your water-soluble fiber, high blood pressure contestants showed the following:

High blood pressure numbers dropped a whopping 10%.

Cholesterol levels plummeted an astonishing 25%.

Participants lost an average of 10 pounds in two weeks.

Why Every Second Counts with HBP!

Why is hypertension concerning? According to the American Heart Association (AHA), almost 70 million Americans over the age of 20 have high blood pressure. If you do the math, that is about 1 in 3 adults in the United States. Unfortunately, about only 63% of those high blood pressure sufferers are aware of it. In other words, 37% are walking time-bombs of high blood pressure. It is no wonder that high blood pressure is now the #1 killer! In fact, almost 60,000 Americans die each year because of complications of high blood pressure. Could you be next?

High Blood Pressure Medication? Is it worth it?

As you can also imagine! High blood pressure prescription medication is a multi-billion dollar industry. Whenever you are dealing with a life and death situation, you are going to have prescription companies involved. The problem is most prescription medications have serious side-effects and cost hundreds per month. Don’t believe me?

Have you heard about the new side-effect with male impotence medication, Viagra? Vision loss and complete blindness!

And the same goes for high blood pressure medication? Diuretics, Beta Blockers, Alpha Blockers and Vasodilators all have side-effects that can be seriously damaging to your health and sometimes deadly.

Can You Naturally Treat High Blood Pressure without Medication?

After watching my new favorite show, I immediately re-read Barton Publishing’s High Blood Pressure Natural Remedy Report and was re-convinced that everyone can naturally treat high blood pressure with about 5 simple steps! I wondered, how many points would the participants have dropped if they supplemented their high fiber diet (raw fruits and vegetables) with the correct vitamins, minerals and supplements.

Unfortunately, most people do NOT realize this and are becoming completely reliant upon over-priced, side-effect laden pills that run on the same concept as a piece of fruit, natural vitamins and minerals!

Do you want to know what natural vitamins and minerals will lower High Blood Pressure in days?

Do you want to know what foods are essential? What foods should be tossed?

Every year, at least 2 million people are diagnosed with high blood pressure or hypertension. But the majority of these cases don?t receive adequate life-saving treatment.

This was revealed by doctors from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the National Center for Health Statistics who said that hypertension remains poorly controlled despite the availability of many antihypertensive medicines in the market today.

In the United States, for instance, about 50 million people have hypertension that resulted in 10.4 million visits to office-based physicians and 1.2 million hospital outpatient department visits according to the National Ambulatory Medical Care Survey. Ironically, only about 25 percent of patients have their disease under control.

The figures are far more depressing in other countries. In Canada, only 13 percent of hypertensive patients are being treated while the rate in England is even lower at 9 percent. In Singapore, about 70 percent of all known hypertensives have poor blood pressure control.

Compounding the problem is the fact that 30 percent of patients don?t know they have hypertension. Since hypertension usually has no symptoms, the consequences of untreated or inadequately treated hypertension can be devastating. Prolonged hypertension often leads to stroke, heart disease, kidney damage or blindness.

?High blood pressure typically develops without signs or symptoms. And it affects nearly everyone eventually. If you don’t have high blood pressure by age 55, you have a 90 percent chance of developing it at some point in your life, according to the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute. Fortunately, high blood pressure can be easily detected. And once you know you have high blood pressure, you can work with your doctor to control it, according to the Mayo Clinic.

While there is no cure for hypertension, you can cut your risk by losing weight, being active, and reducing your salt intake. One product that can help you lose weight is Phenocal, the safe, natural, and effective weight loss supplement that boosts your metabolism, suppresses your appetite, reduces food cravings, and increases energy levels to keep you in shape. For more information, visit http://www.phenocal.com.
